  • Custom hobbit-style concrete home construction near river in Nephi, Utah

    The Shire-Inspired Earth Home ⏐ Nephi, Utah

    This Nephi, Utah project brought a client’s vision of a Hobbit-style earth home to life. Built near a river and adjacent to an existing custom treehouse, the structure required thoughtful excavation and creative engineering solutions.

    To access the site without disrupting the river’s natural flow, we installed multiple culvert pipes to create a machinery crossing while maintaining water continuity.

    The structure includes reinforced footings, concrete walls, and a 12-inch structural concrete roof designed to support up to 18 inches of soil. The roof system integrates with engineered steel supports, allowing the home to be buried and landscaped for a true “Shire” aesthetic.

  • Full site development including demolition, grading and crawl space foundation in Mt. Pleasant, Utah

    From Old Farmhouse to New Foundation ⏐ Mt. Pleasant, Utah

    This Mt. Pleasant property underwent a full transformation. We began by demolishing the existing farmhouse and clearing the site for new construction. Grading and excavation prepared the lot for a new home built on a 4-foot crawl space foundation.

    Our team installed reinforced footings, foundation walls, and completed the flatwork phase (shown here pre-pour). Utility connections required cutting into the roadway to access city main lines, after which the trench was rebuilt using city-approved materials and restored with new asphalt. The final patch was compacted and leveled to eliminate an existing roadway hump.

    A complete redevelopment — handled from demolition through foundation and municipal restoration.

    Entry Porch Elevation Upgrade ⏐ Millcreek, Utah

    This Millcreek home received a full entry upgrade, replacing an outdated patio that sat nearly a foot below ideal grade. The new raised concrete porch was constructed as a monolithic slab with a thickened edge for added strength and long-term durability.

    Careful layout and asphalt cutting were performed to ensure the steps met modern code requirements, creating a safer and more functional entryway.
